A Word from Dan

When I was a teen, I took apart my mother's garden shed and turned it into a makeshift workshop. One of my favorite moments from that project was when I found out the workbench I built was perfectly level, but the entire shed was not. From there, I began to fall in love with woodworking. I built things like toy boxes for my younger family members, and saved up money for new tools to try out.

In Fall of 2020, I started studying at the Vermont Woodworking School and I realized this was my passion in life. I found pride in the process, ease in putting together high quality pieces, and I believe that there is beauty in simplicity.

After graduating in 2022, I put together a workshop in Bangor, ME to begin establishing my first business. However I'm still a greenhorn. I'm interested in apprenticeships in operational workshops, and other potential opportunities where I can continue the craft that I've grown to appreciate.
